Travel + Leisure names Bali hotel Capella Ubud as World’s Best in 2020

There are great reasons why international leisure travel was put on a stop for the last few months, even if this implies the hibernation of Bali's tourism market. And yet, despite all that's happening in the world, we have arrived in the period of year after Travel + Leisure publishes their annual World's Best Awards, as voted by their subscribers.

It should not come as a surprise that a number of places within our cherished Bali were voted a number of the world's greatest. This past year the survey closed on March 2, before officials started pushing stay-at-home orders to restrain the coronavirus outbreak, and the results therefore reflect T+L's viewers' experiences prior to the pandemic. The name for the World's Greatest Hotel has been awarded into Capella Ubud, a luxury hideaway from the highlands which was created by visionaire Bill Bensley.  The Ritz-Carlton, Belmond Jimbaran Puri, and also The Mulia also made it into the record this season -- standing fourth, 23rd, and 35th, respectively -- to the best 100 resorts in the entire world. The magazine readers voted Ubud among the greatest cities on the planet this season, ranking ninth from a record of 25.

Though Bali was rated the third largest island in the world this past year, the Isle of the Gods areas 17th among the in 2020.  This past year, Bali became an honoree of this World's Greatest Award Hall of Fame, so the destination has put on the Top Islands at the World record for 10 successive years. There are ongoing discussions on which traveling would look like following the pandemic, which may be marginally different than that which we've gotten accustomed to.  Maybe this list would be convenient for when it is secure and suitable to be traveling .  For now, however, let us all do our very best to remain healthy and safe.
